About this listen

I am not his conquest. I am not his to claim. I am my own castle.”

Freed from the golden clutches of the Sun King, Lor now finds herself in the hands of Nadir, the Aurora Prince. Convinced she’s hiding something, he’s willing to do whatever it takes to make her talk. But Lor knows the value of secrets—she’s been keeping them her entire life—and she’s not letting hers go without a fight.

When Lor and Nadir team up to search for a lost item that holds the key to her past and her future, she isn’t sure if she can trust him. All she knows is she won’t fall for his promises and make the same mistakes again.

Lor also hasn’t forgotten her vow to destroy the Aurora King. As Atlas hunts her across Ouranos, Lor plots to bring down the Imperial Fae who took everything. But she soon realizes that the future of the continent is about so much more than just her shattered legacy.

Rule of the Aurora King is the second book in the Artefacts of Ouranos series and combines romance, intrigue, action, and adventure. If you love enemies to lovers, fated mates, and fake dating, don’t miss this exciting next installment!

Swooning for the Enemy While Conquering Your Past

**Spoilers ahead if you haven’t read book 1**

What a fantastic book 2 to this series! Arriving in the Aurora kingdom with a newly discovered history, Lor and Nadir team up to look for the Heart Crown.

This book was action, adventure, swoon worthy quotes, the perfect amount of spice and full of so many answered and unanswered questions.

Lor battles with her feelings a lot in this book as she steps into her new reality while struggling with her emotions towards Nadir and about her siblings.

Escaping the Sun King’s palace was only the first step to reclaiming her title and lands but the intensity portrayed in this book made me feel deeply for Lor’s emotional struggles and heartbreaking choices.

Readers are also introduced to some characters who are no longer around but give the historical downfall of the Heart Kingdom.

I will definitely be reading the next book because I need some questions answered and I can’t wait to see where the characters will go from here.

The choice of narrators for Lor and Nadir added the perfect touch to a phenomenal story.

Male narrator gives me the ick!

The male narrator ruined the overall enjoyment for me. Really can’t stand his voice or performance. The female voice actor is quite good though, and thankfully she does more of the narration. I liked the story in terms of the character building in this book, although the plot was somewhat predictable. Didn’t enjoy how Lor seemed so immature and a bit like a petulant child in this book. Wasn’t how I saw her in book 1. But I suppose it was meant to be a part of her journey?? She just didn’t seem like the type to be running out of rooms and throwing tantrums. I did enjoy the side story of Cerse that was introduced. It gave a good back story and perspective that makes me want to continue the series.

not as good as book 1

This one definitely dove into the characters more. I like Nadir more and Lor less.
In my opinion, no youngest sibling acts this way. Like she is somehow responsible for her older siblings it doesn't come across as realistic.
Nadir constantly calling Lor "inmate" is ick. Especially since at this point, it's obvious they are into each other. I love an enemies to lovers and banter, but this slow burn is too slow for me. Lor is annoying in this one, I'm hoping that turns around in the next one.

Good read

Overall pretty good, enjoyed how the author takes the reader into the past to allow them to understand what happened. Wish the characters would evolve more quickly, resulting in predictable outcomes that seemed unnecessary and dragging the storyline.

SHE DOES IT AGAIN!!

This is by far my favorite fantasy series! the angst, the plot, the characters, everything is FIRE!!! You need to add this to your TBR's. Nisha does it again and knocks it out of the park!!

Loved this more than the first!

A really great second instalment to this series. Beautiful slow burn enemies to lovers with lots of delicious tension building throughout. Narration was very well done too. I think I enjoyed this book even more than the second, can’t wait for the next one!

The ending!

Overall not bad. Definitely feeling some overlap in themes as SJM Court of Thorn and Roses but different enough to not feel like a carbon copy. The ending definitely got me and now I must wait for the last book.

Just, meh

Where do I begin? The forced sexual tension, the fact that Nadir still calls her "inmate" even after the reveal of her rape and torture and false imprisonment, the fact that he also calls her by her name in public?!, the repetitive "I hate you"s and overall lack of character growth?
give me Cerce's story over this immature drivel.

also, the forced, breathy "sexy" voice from the male narrator gave me the ick
